Adiemus - Karl Jenkins

Adiemus, written by Karl Jenkins and sung by South African singer, Miriam Stockley, fell into my lip misnomered as a song by Enya.  I tend to appreciate an epic battle with love, politics and war all wrapped into one short song.  The thriving points are the chord progressions and it's fun with the relative and natural minors.  In the second stave, the very classical Bach'esque back-and-forth progression catches the ear instantly...but it is the change to E/G as well as the treat of being brought back to the vocal stanza at the end.  The victorious conclusion is almost enough in-and-of-itself to water the eyes and really stamps the beauty of victory after a struggled life not devoid of hope.
